About the Pembrokeshire Business Awards 2007
Pembrokeshire has over 14,000 businesses, ranging from sole traders to multinational companies and operating across a wide range of industries. Whatever their size or sector, they all make an important contribution to the growth and development of the local economy and act as ambassadors for the county.
The Pembrokeshire Business Awards were established in 2004 as a collaborative initiative between PBI, the Western Telegraph, Pembrokeshire College, Texaco (Now Chevron) and Radio Pembrokeshire. The aim was to acknowledged and reward the success of local companies by celebrating, recognizing and encouraging the thriving business community in Pembrokeshire. The inaugural awards in 2004 proved a huge success and the 2006 ceremony built on the achievements of the awards team in 2004 to become even bigger. The 2006 Awards culminated in a fantastic Black Tie Dinner-Dance ceremony that took place at Folly Farm’s undercover vintage Fairground.
The 2007 Awards were launched at a Pembrokeshire B2B Networking Event – Network Pembrokeshire that was held at the County Showground on June 7th. This event provided the local business community with an invaluable opportunity to network with their peers, alongside discovering more information about the Awards. Attendees had the chance to meet the organisers, sponsors and last years winners of the Awards and learnt about the real benefits of putting their business forward for consideration.
There will be a number of Award categories available this year for both entry and nomination – each designed to reflect the diverse range of business activities in the county.
The 2007 winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony which will take place on November 22nd and will be held at Folly Farm.
